Pebeo Fantasy Moon Review. Paint for Glass.
This is a review of Pebeo Fantasy Moon, a paint which can be used on glass but is totally new to us. It is very similar to the Fantasy Prisme which we reviewed a couple of weeks ago. In fact these two paints, as well as Pebeo Vitrail glass paint can all be blended together to achieve even more effects.
Once again we reviewed the Fantasy Moon discovery set. However we wish we had bought the Discovery Collection. The set has six paints in whereas the collection has 12.
This paint flows well which is perfect for blending. Whilst individual colours give nice effects it is only when you use the colours together that it produces a really special look. Obviously some colours go better together than others. As always, it is worth spending some time experimenting.
With some of the colours I found it a little difficult to tell the difference between these and the Fantasy Prisme. On the whole I think the Moon gives a more traditional pearl effect. Whereas the Prisme has larger “cells” in it. Whatever they are both lovely effects even if you aren’t 100% sure exactly what they will look like until they have dried.
Buying the Paints.
All of the colours can be bought individually in 45ml pots. There is also a colloection of 10 pots known as the studio collection which comes in a nice box.
If you are new to the paints you may like to start with either the “Discovery Set” or the “Discovery Collection”. The set has six smaller (20ml) pots in it and the collection 12.
In the UK Cass Art has Pebeo Fantasy Moon on sale at the moment for a reduced price so you may want to take a look there:

Summery.
We will certainly be using these paints again. They give a love effect which, whilst not transparent , looks lovely on glass and mirrors.
